Thank you to the dedicated Brookline folks (ballot clerks, counters, Supervisors of the Checklist, assistant moderator, Selectpeople) who worked together at the polls, regardless of party affiliation, from 6:30 AM to 10:30 PM and beyond (Patti Howard-Barnett). Not to mention those who set up the gym the day before and the many hours of advance prep work in the weeks before that by the Supervisors and the Town Clerk. It is a noble service you all provide, one that enables us to preserve and perpetuate fundamental principles of our nation. Thank you also to CSDA and SAU41 for the use of their facility. Thank you all. Brookline can be proud.
The tally of the Brookline votes at the Primary are set out below. Some interesting additional statistics:
1) We have 3929 registered voters (2085 voted, 53.3 %)
2) 1340 are registered as Republican
3) 917 as Democrat
4) 1672 are undeclared
5) 856 undeclared voters voted by Republican ballot
6) 102 undeclared voted by Democrat ballots
